Dr. Krithiga Aruljothi joins the Neurotech Institute and Ohio State University as a Post Doctoral Scholar in Dr. Megan Keiser’s lab. Her work bridges the fields of Neural Engineering and Behavioral Neuroscience, aiming to develop innovative methods to investigate neural circuits and their role in behavior and neurological disorders. After earning her Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Arizona State University, she pursued a Ph.D. in Psychology with a focus on Behavioral Neuroscience at the University of California, Riverside. Her research centered on understanding the neural mechanisms underlying sensory detection and impulse control using widefield calcium imaging in mice performing a whisker-based selective detection task. Passionate about expanding her research into Neurotechnology and Medical Innovation by working with NTI’s multidisciplinary team, Krithiga is also a trained Indian classical dancer who enjoys dancing, hiking, and chasing waterfalls in her free time.
