Research Scientist
Overview
Research Scientist to establish and direct translational neuroengineering research projects in support of the NeuroTech Institute and Department of Neurological Surgery. The candidate works closely with the CEO of the NeuroTech Institute in the development of novel treatments and medical devices. S/he conceives, designs, implements and directs research projects. The candidate works directly with patients and animal models. The candidate develops and assists in the support of first-in-human trials, including conceiving of scientific strategy, developing proposals, supporting regulatory filings, and executing studies. The candidate coordinates scientific writing and grant proposals as co-investigator to extramural funding agencies to obtain significant salary and research support from outside funding agencies; develops, adopts and implements new laboratory methods; develops hypothesis and experimental approach to hypothesis testing; plans, designs and conducts complex experiments; extracts, compiles, analyzes and evaluates data to establish relevance to the problems being evaluated; administers grants; directs and manages grant budgets; manages laboratory operations; writes manuscripts, articles, abstracts and research reports for publication in peer-reviewed journals; attends and presents research findings at national and international scientific conferences; develops and conducts educational workshops, lectures and seminars; collaborates with other researchers in determining research priorities and planning programs of research; trains junior investigators, post-doctoral researchers, graduate students and technicians within laboratory.

VP of Development
Overview
The VP of Development will understand the mission, needs and value of the NeuroTech Institute and is responsible for building relationships with prospective corporate and individual donors to increase philanthropic support. They will work on the identification, engagement, cultivation and solicitation strategies for prospects and gifts.
The aim of the role is to develop a development strategy, build a development team, build a portfolio of prospective donors, create gift propositions and cultivate prospects. Preparation for solicitations will include creative and strategic utilization of resources to determine the prospect gift capacity, build their interest, raise their sights, sustain their engagement and obtain gifts. Success in the position will be guided by annual metrics such as number of monthly meetings, number of gift commitments, and dollars raised.*
