Network Neuroscientist | Faculty

The Neurosurgery Department at Wexner College of Medicine seeks an early-stage investigator to establish a translational research program focused on the characterization and prediction of human brain states associated with cognition and neuropsychiatric disease. The faculty will work within the NeuroTech Institute to develop novel methods and applications for applied systems neuroscience and network control theory. The successful candidate will have expertise in multi-modal data integration (i.e. electrocorticography, fMRI, psychophysics), biomarkers of cognition and disease phenotypes, dynamical systems, and machine learning/artificial intelligence. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with the candidate’s experience and current grant funding. The candidate will report to the CEO of the NeuroTech Institute and departmental leadership. The candidate may engage in teaching and mentorship.

Required qualifications include scholarly independence, research integrity, exceptional interpersonal skills, expertise in responsible conduct of research, and excellence in scientific writing and communication abilities. Preferred qualifications include at least five years of experience in clinical multi-modal, multi-scale data integration (inclusive of graduate work and postdoctoral training).
